Since its founding in 1980, the OCSAPN has sponsored and promoted many events: Red Ribbon Week, youth conferences, discussion forums, and training events, just to name a few.

The annual Orange County Student Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Abuse Prevention Poster and Creative Writing Contest, co-sponsored by the O.C. Board of Supervisors, corporate sponsors, O.C. Department of Education, O.C. Advisory Board on Drug and Alcohol Programs, O.C. Health Care Agency Tobacco Use Prevention Program (TUPP) and Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Team (ADEPT). The Annual OCSAPN Members' Resource Showcase, held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Costa Mesa Community Center, 1845 Park, Costa Mesa, CA at 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. County-wide corporate, agency, and individual participation is welcomed, encouraged, and solicited in these as well as other OCSAPN activities.
